FireSecure Studio release

FireSecure Studio 0.3.0-preview

Introduces professional direct-to-PDF exports for Cause & Effect matrixes and core project schedules, alongside expanded Logic Designer action types, improved document control and faster matrix editing workflows.

Preview 10 July 2026

What’s new

  • Direct PDF export for generated Advanced MxPro Cause & Effect matrices
  • Direct PDF export for editable Logic Designer documents
  • PDF exports for device, zone and output group schedules
  • Professional PDF document-control headers, footers and page numbering
  • Support for company branding, contact details and optional company logos
  • A4, A3 and A2 landscape PDF output options
  • New Fire alarm, General alarm, Security / lockdown and Disable / inhibit matrix actions
  • Schema version 2 for Logic Designer .fsld documents
  • Automatic migration of legacy .fsld documents to the latest schema when saved
  • Effect renaming through double-click, right-click or the F2 shortcut
  • Logic Designer keyboard shortcuts for creating, opening, saving and exporting documents

Improvements

  • Wide Cause & Effect matrices are automatically divided into readable horizontal PDF sections
  • Cause columns, effect headings and output group headings are repeated across PDF sections and pages
  • PDF action keys automatically include only the actions used within the exported matrix
  • Logic Designer now keeps the complete available action key visible while editing
  • Built-in action symbols and colours are preserved consistently between the editor, Excel and PDF exports
  • Custom matrix action values remain preserved without being incorrectly converted into built-in actions
  • PDF exports can include document reference, revision, issue status, issue date, prepared by and checked by information
  • Optional source-file, panel-type, attribution and generated-time metadata can be included in PDF documents
  • Matrix notes and verification statements can be included directly within Cause & Effect PDF exports
  • Device schedule PDFs include full point, protocol, category, output group and location information
  • Zone schedule PDFs include zone summaries and final totals
  • Output group schedule PDFs include programmed lines and resolved device details
  • Schedule exports share the same branding and document-control workflow as Cause & Effect exports
  • Remembered PDF branding and layout preferences are retained between exports
  • Improved effect-header editing by replacing sideways text editing with a standard horizontal rename dialog

Fixes

  • Prevented clicks in empty space beside the Logic Designer matrix from causing an application error
  • Resolved table descriptor build errors affecting device, zone and output group PDF exports
  • Preserved Cause & Effect-specific PDF defaults when saving preferences from schedule exports
  • Improved handling of empty, cause-only and exceptionally wide Cause & Effect matrices
  • Improved PDF pagination for long schedules and output groups containing large resolved-device lists

Known issues

  • SKF Compare remains a trial feature and comparison results should be reviewed before being relied upon for commissioning or change-control decisions
  • SKF Compare currently focuses primarily on device-level configuration changes
  • Automatic panel configuration analysis currently supports Advanced MxPro SKF files only
  • Logic Designer custom actions are preserved but do not receive built-in colours or generated legend definitions
  • PDF calculation reports are not yet available
  • Table performance with very large datasets may still seem laggy at times
